About Mr. Ross Cobb
From an early age, Ross Cobb was fortunate enough to travel the world with his marine biologist father. He studied agroecology with a focus on soil science at the University of Santa Cruz, and in 1998, Ross's tour of winemaking on the Sonoma Coast began in earnest. Hired by Williams Selyem, he took over as a viticulturist and enologist. After two years, he moved to Flowers Winery as an associate winemaker. He worked under Hugh Chappelle for four years before taking over as head winemaker for the subsequent five vintages. In 2001, Ross started the family brand Cobb Wines with his parents to craft Pinot Noir wines from the Coastlands vineyards that maintain a true sense of place, allowing the site to speak through his winemaking.
